Clipping long VODs for clipping campaigns: a workflow that scales
On a clipping campaign you're paid on views, so the clips you post matter more than the hours you spend. The time sink is going through the creator's long streams to find clip-worthy moments. Here's a workflow that keeps that part short.
1. Read the campaign rules first
- Length limits, required format (usually 9:16) and which platforms count.
- Credit rules: tagging the creator, a watermark, or a link in the caption.
- What is off limits: topics, music, reposting the same moment someone else already posted.
2. Work from the creator's newest VODs
Fresh moments get more views than old ones, and campaigns often want recent content. Grab the latest stream as soon as it is up.
3. Let software do the first pass
Paste the VOD link into EZClips (Twitch, Kick or YouTube), or drop in the file. It goes through the whole stream and hands back the moments worth watching again, best first, each already cut to 9:16 with captions and a title. Your time goes into choosing and posting, not scrubbing.
4. Make each clip stand on its own
- The first second has to explain why to keep watching: a title or a caption that sets up the moment.
- Cut the run-up. Viewers don't know the creator; they need the moment, fast.
- Captions always. Most views are muted.
5. Post on a rhythm and track what works
Post steadily across the platforms the campaign counts, and keep a note of which kinds of moments get views for that creator. Do more of those next time.
