How to clip your Twitch streams without scrubbing the whole VOD

The clips that grow a channel are already in your streams. The hard part is finding them in four or six hours of VOD, and most streamers never get round to it. Here's how to do it by hand, and how to skip the scrubbing.

1. Make sure your VODs are kept

In your Creator Dashboard, under Settings → Stream, turn on "Store past broadcasts". Twitch keeps them for 7 days for most channels and 60 days for Partners and Turbo or Prime users, so clip within the week or download the ones you care about.

2. Mark moments while you stream

Type /marker in chat (you or your mods) when something happens, and the moment shows up in the VOD's timeline afterwards. Even three or four markers a night saves most of the searching.

3. Find the moments (the slow part)

Without markers, the usual tells are chat suddenly speeding up, you getting loud, and long quiet stretches you can skip. Scrubbing a 5-hour VOD this way can easily take an hour.

EZClips does this pass for you: paste the VOD link (or drop the file), and it goes through the whole stream and hands back the moments worth watching again, best first. You can close the tab while it works.

4. Cut each one for phones

  • Keep it short: most stream clips work at 20 to 60 seconds. Start right before the moment, not a minute earlier.
  • Go vertical (9:16). For gameplay, put your cam on top and the game below, so both read on a phone.
  • Add captions, big and in the middle of the screen. Most people scroll with the sound off.
  • Give it a title in the first second that makes someone stay: what is about to happen, not the game's name.

5. Post while it is fresh

Post the best one or two the day after the stream, on TikTok, Shorts and Reels at once (the same file works everywhere). Consistency beats volume: one good clip a day for a month does more than twenty in one go.
